Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Edmunds County Sheriffs Office is seeking a responsible individual as a full-time deputysheriff. Applicants must be 21 years of age, have a valid drivers license, be able to pass abackground check, and pass a drug test. Applicants must be of good moral character. Startingwage for deputy is $56,568 per year. Opportunities for overtime are available.This position is specifically to be a Drug Dog Handler with a focus on drug interdiction. Thisposition will also manage daily sheriffs office duties. Our ideal candidate must have the driveand passion to deal with our already trained K9 Grayz. The candidate will have to go throughdog training with Grayz. A certified Officer with a passion for drug interdiction is preferred butwe are willing to train the right uncertified candidate.Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, longevity pay, and sick leave. State retirementis included. Hours of employment have flexible scheduling and rotating shift work.
