Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $19.15 - $24.25/Hour PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Provides custodial and grounds maintenance services to the Sierra Army Depot Military Base by keeping a neat, clean, and well-groomed facility for the Government Employees, performing all contract requirements.PRIMARY SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-12:00am with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Note: Occasional hours available on Fridays and Saturdays. Days and hours may vary and include evenings, Holidays, and weekends, as needed.SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the supervision of the Evening Shift Lead Worker.SUPERVISION EXERCISED: N/AQUALIFICATIONS: High School education or equivalent. Current California drivers license, with an acceptable DMV printout and insurability, minimum of a 3-year driving history. Ability to pass a DOJ criminal background check. Ability to pass CPR and First Aid courses. Ability to call, text and/or e-mail.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows safety procedures, policies, and guideline of NVS. Multitasks and prioritizes to meet deadlines. Participates in continuous staff development and training. Works with minimal supervision and exercises independent judgment. Demonstrates and maintains a positive and professional attitude and demeanor. Public safety and convenience are to be always considered. Ensures that employer expectations and quality standards are met. Keeps breakrooms and vehicles clean, neat, and secure. Removes all trash, paper, and other debris from grounds and parking lots. Keeps all walkways and necessary pathways clean and free of debris, snow, and ice. Uses hand and power tools and performs required maintenance. Reports any necessary repairs. Responsible to lock and secure offices and buildings. Drives NVS vehicles as needed. Additional duties as assigned including filling in at other sites or departments as needed.PHYSICAL DUTIES: Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, (bending, pushing, lifting, and stooping). Ability to tolerate all weather conditions (heat, cold) when working outdoors. Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time. Ability to reach overhead. Ability to lift to 50 pounds.STANDARDS FOR MEASURING PERFORMANCE: Must be self-motivated and trustworthy. Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems, as necessary.
