Job Description

Our client at LHH is looking for a Legal Secretary to join their growing team.As a Legal Secretary, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys and enhancing the overall efficiency of the labor and employment law practice. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology related to labor and employment law.Responsibilities:Document Preparation:Draft and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.Prepare and format documents according to legal guidelines.Calendar Management:Maintain and manage attorneys calendars, scheduling appointments, court dates, and deadlines.Coordinate and schedule meetings, conferences, and hearings.Client Interaction:Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally and promptly.Manage and update client files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.Legal Research:Assist attorneys in legal research related to labor and employment law issues.Compile relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.Court Filings:File legal documents with federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies.Monitor and track filing deadlines.Billing and Timekeeping:Assist in timekeeping and billing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines.Prepare and review client invoices.Administrative Support:Provide administrative support, including answering phones, managing emails, and handling incoming and outgoing mail.Organize and maintain electronic and physical filesQualifications:Proficient in legal research and document preparation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Familiarity with legal billing software is a plus.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrates advanced knowledge and proven expertise using Best Authority to produce Tables of Contents (TOC) and Tables of Authorities (TOA)Knowledge of court procedures and filing requirements.Bachelors degree preferredSalary Range - $95,000 - 120,000k
