ALTA Performance Materials has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join our team at our Columbus, OH location. ALTA Performance Materials is a global chemical business with 6 manufacturing operations in the US, 1 in Brazil, 4 in Europe, 2 in China along with offices and headquarters in Ohio, Barcelona and Shanghai. The business' primary products include unsaturated polyester resins (UPRs), vinyl ester resins (VERs) and gel coats. Job ObjectiveThe Customer Service Representative will primarily be responsible for processing customer orders from receipt through to cash paid as an end-to-end process. The jobholder will deliver professional customer service and work alongside internal and external colleagues to develop exceptional relationships with customers as well as seek opportunities to promote ALTA Performance Materials.Key Responsibilities of the position include, but not limited **Manage incoming calls/requests and ensure that all customer demands are met promptlyRespond punctually to customer inquiries whilst keeping the customer informedProcess customer POs via direct order entry system (SAP)Maintain customer profiles including billing, shipping, products, INCO Terms, and special requirementsProvide customers with resources or additional information related to products and servicesWork closely with logistics and manufacturing to ensure all orders are shipped on-time and in-fullWork closely with internal Account Managers to keep ahead of customer activity and requirementsRespond to customers' needs for inventory, PO status, pricing, and freightProvide customers with step-by-step solutions with patience and an approach specific to each customer as neededProcess and follow up on customer complaints as it relates to customer orders, invoicing issues, returns, and qualityProcess debit, credit, and return invoices, review for accuracy and completenessEstablish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers including Sales, Product Management, Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, and QualityMinimum **Bachelor's Degree preferredPrevious roles in Customer Service or related industry would be desirableProfessional knowledge of the use and application of SAP systems, specifically related to sales order modulesKnowledge and understanding of export documentation highly desirableKnowledge of Excel, Word, and other MS systemsMust be authorized to work in the United States
