Experienced Bilingual Litigation Legal Assistant (Spanish-English) - Oakland, CA | $60K-$80K DOEA well-regarded plaintiff-side litigation firm in Oakland is looking for a skilled and bilingual (Spanish-English) Legal Assistant to support its growing legal team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong civil litigation experience who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is passionate about advocacy.Key **Provide Spanish-English translation during client meetings, and assist with preparation for depositions, mediations, and trialsDraft legal documents independently, including complaints, discovery, motions, and mediation briefsFile and serve legal documents in state and federal courts (appellate experience a plus)Maintain and organize electronic case files and legal documentsPrepare standard correspondence and support routine litigation tasksFluent in spoken and written Spanish and EnglishSolid understanding of California civil litigation proceduresAble to independently draft pleadings and discovery (propounding and responding)Skilled in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat ProStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and writing abilitiesCompensation & **Salary **** $60,000-$80,000 annually, depending on experienceHealth, dental, and vision coverage with employee premiums fully paid401(k) with employer contribution and potential matchPaid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and additional civic leave (jury duty, voting, etc.)Paid parkingRelaxed, team-oriented office culture with casual dressCross-training and professional growth opportunitiesWork ***** This is a full-time position with immediate availability.
