Job Description

We supply industrial hardware and components to customers across multiple industries in North and South America. The company underwent massive growth over the past few years, and we are happy to be adding to our team, therefore, we are looking for a Quality Control Specialist to join us. This would be a mid-level position in a fast-paced environment with a culture that is conducive to teamwork, professional development, and a chance to be an integral part of our global team.Quality engineer ensures consistent quality of production and received material by utilizing good automated manufacturing practice (GAMP) systems, validating processes, and efficiently communicating information about parts' defects to affected parties.Skills/Qualifications **2-4 years of experience in quality assurance with industrial hardwareReading and interpreting engineering drawingsHave experience in using basic measuring equipment - measuring tape, calipers, & height gageExperience in quality processes & tools (FAI, PPAP, CAR & gage calibration)Experience in process Improvement and analyzing InformationGood verbal and written communicationExperience in using ISO standards (ideally ISO 9001)Knowledge of REACH & RoHSAttention to detail, thoroughness, and dealing with complexityTimely relay of informationAble to use Microsoft Excel & WordQA **Achieving quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviewsAssisting in developing & implementing action plansEnforcing quality and customer-service standardsIdentifying and resolving problems within the inspection functionAssisting in determining system improvements and implementing change.Performing routine inspections and quality tests.Identifying and resolving workflow and shipment issues.Conducting First Article Inspections (FAIs) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) evaluations for customers on new componentsInvestigating root cause issues & assisting in developing & implementing corrective actions pertaining to customer complaintsValidating quality processes by monitoring products to specifications and quality attributesMaintaining and improving product quality by participating in product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits.Preparing quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends including failed processes and re-validations.
