Role Summary: The Account Supervisor will independently lead $300-600K in retainer accounts or projects. The Account Supervisor will manage multiple responsibilities including generating consistent media exposure for clients, supporting the development of key themes, campaign strategy, client relations and managing 1-2 members of the team.Responsibilities:Client Service:Independently lead $300-600K in client account revenueServe as lead point of contact and run calls for the client accounts, they are leadingCollaborate on client campaign strategyDraft PR plans for the accounts they are leadingFunctions as a main or secondary of contact (for clients and internally) for PR initiativesSupports the lead point of contact for other team client accountsParticipates in regular client update calls and meetings as well as new client discovery meetings for other accounts they supportMedia Relations:Stellar media skills with well-established media relationshipsIdentifies and secures an array of media placements including high-profile and feature opportunities for clients across the teamDelegates tasks and helps to manage Account Coordinators, Account Executives and internsReview editorial calendars, awards, conferences and media lists prepared by the teamAssists in the development of strategic PR plans and campaign development for team accounts they supportDevelops and maintains relationships with all media outlets including trades, broadcast and national mediaDevelops unique story angles and timely pitches to generate consistent client exposureAssists clients to media events and tours and is responsible for finalizing briefing books and prepResponsible for book launches for clientsSupervisory Responsibilities:Delegates tasks and manages the performance of the Account Coordinators and Account Executives and internsResponsible for providing feedback and performance coachingWriting:Reviews and edits company generated content before sharing with clientsDrafts press releases, award nominations, social media posts and other client related materials, when neededAdministrative Support:Assists internal team members with other clients, business development and Company projectsCompany Ambassador:Acts as a steward of the JConnelly brand, consistently representing and reflecting the Company's core values, approach and high standards of excellence in all client, media and public interactionsPerforms other duties as assignedEducation: College degree; or equivalent related business experienceExperience & Expertise:Minimum 4-6 years successful industry-related experience with an emphasis on managing client relationshipsDemonstrated ability to organize/prioritize work, handle details accurately, follow up with minimum supervision, and complete tasks within specified deadlinesExcellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and customer service skillsProficiency with various software applications including the full Office suite, as well as social media channelsProficiency in PR related software including but not limited to Cision, Meltwater, TrendKite Sprout, Hootsuite etc.The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
