The Paralegal will provide support to the New York House Counsel team to assist with all aspects of New York Bodily Injury/Subrogation practice &/or PIP litigation and arbitrations. The position requires a candidate with a strong attention to detail, experience in New York BI/Subrogation &/or PIP litigation, and the ability to meet deadlines.ResponsibilitiesDraft BI/Subro &/or PIP pleadings: including discovery demands, responses, motions, subpoenas, and EBT/EUO noticesPrepare BI/Subro &/or PIP arbitration submissions and supplemental submissionsReview/prepare NOI and jury demandsPrepare substantive summary judgment motions, including liability & threshold motions to dismiss and necessary affidavitsPerform legal research on all aspects of personal injury litigationAssist attorney(s) in preparing materials for trial including subpoenaing records & contacting witnesses for trialU pload documents to AAA platform and file documents electronically via NYSCEFDiary deadline dates, appearances, dates, etc.Address client and/or claim inquiries and concernsPerform basic fee schedule calculations pursuant to NYS Worker's Compensation Fee ScheduleExperience with declaratory judgment actions in NY is a plusInput and maintain information into case management system and ensure data integrityExecute tactics to ensure workforce efficiency and adherence to schedulesAbility to perform the above duties independently and with minimal supervisionHandle special projects as they ariseInitiate and foster teamwork within the team to create and maintain an environment of partnership, quality service and superior organizational and analytical skillsQualifications College degree.
