Job ** Labor and Employment Legal Assistant Job * We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with a strong background in labor and employment law to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in a legal assistant role, with demonstrated knowledge of employment litigation, administrative agency procedures, and general labor law matters. This position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to legal support.Key *Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys in the Labor & Employment practice group.Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, motions, and correspondence.Coordinate and track deadlines, court dates, and administrative hearings (EEOC, NLRB, DOL, etc.).Manage document production and assist with preparation for depositions, mediations, and trials.Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and administrative agencies in a professional manner.Maintain case files (both electronic and physical), docketing systems, and attorney calendars.Conduct preliminary research and summarize findings as needed.Assist in onboarding and orientation processes related to employee-related investigations or disciplinary matters.Ensure compliance with court rules and filing procedures in state, federal, and administrative forums.**Minimum of 5 years' experience as a legal assistant, preferably in labor and employment law.Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, particularly in employment-related matters.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal document management systems, and e-filing platforms.Excellent writing, communication, and time management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced legal environment.Familiarity with federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, and related statutes.
