Overview: Salem Media Group Pittsburgh offers an exciting opportunity for a General Sales Manager to join our dynamic and forward-thinking company. The ideal candidate will display strategic expertise by leading and building out a team of sellers (Media Strategists) and executing a media sales strategy that delivers customer solutions through an integrated suite of platforms. This position reports to the Regional Director of Sales. Responsibilities: The General Sales Manager works with the sales team on developing proposals and digital strategies, going on presentation meetings, and developing opportunities that drive customer results.Responsible for hiring and training Media Strategist for future growth. Responsible for working with the account management teams on optimization strategies to ensure campaign delivery and attainment of customer goals.Attending and leading weekly sales meetings providing product training, client success stories.Provides on–going recommendations to Media Strategists and clients of our vast product offerings. Manages digital revenue performance of the sales team while collaborating closely with the Regional Director of Sales.Oversight of internal workflow process and revenue forecasts Qualifications: Must have 2+ years of media-related experience selling digital platforms as well as previous sales management experience.Prior radio, TV or other traditional media experience preferred but not required.Extensive knowledge of digital sales processes, digital platforms, technical markets, distribution channels, buying patterns, and budgeting.A proven track record of strong digital sales management and effective closing skills.History of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable environment through strategic thinking, tactical implementation, and effectively managing multiple projects.A confident personality and sense of urgency while being a creative and innovative thinker.The willingness to embrace change, encourage innovation, and solve problems creatively.
