Job Title: Medical Records Specialist Location: Buckhead, GA (Hybrid) Shift: M-F 9am-5pm Pay: $19/hour About the role: The Medical Record Specialist is responsible for obtaining, organizing, and verifying medical records required for claims processing and compliance. This role ensures timely and accurate retrieval of documentation from providers, facilities, and other sources to support claim adjudication and audits. Success in this role hinges on strong problem-solving skills, excellent written communication, and meticulous attention to detail; all job-specific processes will be trained. Key Responsibilities: Problem Solving: Track and monitor record requests to proactively identify and resolve issues or delays when communicating with providers and internal teams. Attention to Detail: Meticulously review retrieved records for completeness and accuracy before submission, ensuring compliance standards are met. Written Communication: Accurately and professionally document all retrieval activities and correspondence in the system for audit and reporting purposes. Execute requests for medical records from various healthcare providers and facilities. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all privacy regulations (training provided). Collaborate with claims processors and analysts to ensure records meet requirements for claim resolution. Assist with special projects related to record retrieval and compliance audits. Qualifications/Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred). Exceptional Attention to Detail and proven accuracy in handling documentation. Strong Problem-Solving Skills"”must be able to independently manage retrieval issues and find solutions. Excellent Written Communication Skills for clear, professional correspondence with external providers and internal teams. Reliable and able to meet deadlines consistently. Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). All role-specific systems and regulatory compliance processes will be taught on the job.
