Job DescriptionAs an integral member of the Aramark team contribute to the provision of quality laundry, accommodation, mess-room and janitorial services adhering to health and safety at all times.Job ResponsibilitiesMain duties/tasks:By utilising resources available, work as optimally and efficiently as possible to ensure the service is provided to the agreed standardsMaintain accommodation areas in a clean and sanitary condition at all timesCleaning, buffering, hovering, sweeping and washing floors, walls and ceilings to be carried out in accordance with company procedures and safe systems of work to the contract specified standard, and recorded in the cleaning schedulesEnsure all laundry is done to client?s happiness and contract specificationEnsure chemical store is kept clean and tidyAccompany supervisor on daily and weekly inspections of areas of your responsibilityMaintain cleanliness of all catering equipmentEnsure kitchen and all its equipment are maintained in a clean and hygienic mannerEnsure mess is kept clean at all timesAssist in the preparation and serving of mealsEnsure adequate supplies of cutlery and crockery are available throughout service timesEnsure adequate supplies of galley equipment are available to chefsRun the pot wash areaAssist in unloading containersEnforce to deep cleaning programmeAdvise line supervisor of any defects or maintenance requirements within areas of responsibilityEnsure all duties and responsibilities are undertaken in full compliance of the Health and Safety at Work ActReport all accidents and injuriesReport any incident of fire, loss, damage, unfit food, and other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriateAdopt industry training and development and culture by attending Client and Company training courses as deemed vital.Fully support and participate in all Client and Company safety initiativesAll training initiatives which are identified are delivered to maintain the existing safe working practices and environmentAdditional Responsibilities:Responsibility for machinery/equipment/materials/consumablesEnsuring accurate use, safe operations and keeping clean and hygienic at all timesBasic maintenance and preparation for use on an as and when required basisCompleting work in terms of all Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of WorkKnowledge and proficiency in the use of cleaning materials and chemicals as approved under COSHH regulations ensuring, at all times, that all chemicals are stored accurately according to COSHH regulationsSolid understanding of Company/Client Safety Management PolicyDecision making Participate in periodical inspections and contribute to the process of identifying and implementing improvementsIdentify personal training needs where possibleTake personal responsibility for closing identified development gaps and future requirementsPersonal proficiencies are known, understood, adhered to and updated on an ongoing basisEnsure the personal working hygiene standards meet both the company and statutory requirementsCommunication/Contact with othersConnect with colleagues and supervisors with regard to routine informationReport any customer complaints immediately and take the needed action if appropriateQualificationsNo offshore experience is crucial however it is important that the individual has one year?s customer service experience and background knowledge and experience in a catering / hospitality environment or similar role or environmentStandards of training certification and watchkeeping (STCW)Certificate of competency (COC) - Skilled certificateBe able to communicate in English (verbally and written)EducationAbout AramarkOur MissionRooted in service and united by our purpose, we strive to do great things for each other, our partners, our communities, and our planet.At Aramark, we believe that every employee should enjoy equal employment opportunity and be free to participate in all aspects of the company.
