Our values reflect an understanding that behind every case is a person navigating one of the most challenging times of their life.*The Role*We're seeking an experienced personal injury associate who brings both legal acumen and emotional intelligence to their practice. You'll work collaboratively with our team while independently managing a caseload of personal injury cases (primarily car crashes, dog bites, and premises liability) from intake through settlement and trial.The experienced associate will have an opportunity to develop their own practice area(s) that align with the firm's values and goals.*Qualifications**Required:** 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience including independently managing cases from intake to trial* Proven track record in case management and client relations* Strong deposition and motion practice skills* Excellent written and oral advocacy abilities* Admitted to practice in Virginia; DC and Maryland a plus*Preferred:** Jury and bench trial experience* Negotiation success with insurance carriers* Passion for plaintiffs' work and client advocacy*Responsibilities** Manage personal injury cases independently through all phases of pre-suit and litigation* Conduct client intakes and make decisions on client acquisition* Guide clients and staff through pre-litigation phases* Conduct depositions and court appearances* Draft compelling pleadings, motions, and discovery* Negotiate favorable settlements* Build meaningful client relationships grounded in trust and communication* Collaborate with our team to develop case strategy* Mentor staff and contribute to our firm culture*What We Offer** Competitive compensation commensurate with experience* Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision* 401(k) with match* Professional development and continuing education support* Meaningful work-life integration* Collaborative environment with senior attorney mentorship* A culture that values both strength and compassion*Our Commitment*We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive practice where different perspectives strengthen our advocacy.
