Quality Control Inspector - Aerospace Machine Shop

*Trutron Corporation - A Troy based Aerospace Machine Shop is in search of an experienced Quality Control Inspector with the following Qualifications. *Read on to fully understand what this job requires in terms of skills and experience If you are a good match, make an application.*Please Note: This is NOT an entry-level position. Please do not apply without the required machine shop experience.** 3-5 years minimum machine shop inspection experience required.* Must be able to function both independently and in a team environment.* Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools and inspection techniques.* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.* Complete understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).* Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.* Experience in a machine shop environment (Aerospace experience preferred).* Familiarity with AS9100 standards preferred.*Responsibilities:** Perform inspections on machined parts and assemblies using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other measuring tools.* Ensure components meet engineering drawings and customer specifications.* Document inspection results and maintain quality records.* Communicate with machinists/manufacturing to resolve quality issues.* Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.* Gage Calibration - Currently using Gage Trak software.*We Offer:** Climate controlled environment* Health benefits, 401(k), and paid time off.* Opportunities for specialized training and college reimbursement.* A clean, safe, and team-oriented work environment.Be a part of a company where quality matters and your work makes a difference.Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Tuition reimbursementSchedule:* Day shift* Monday to Friday* Weekends as neededShift availability:* Day Shift (Preferred)Ability to Commute:* Troy, MI 48083 (Required)Work Location: In person
