*POSITION PURPOSE: *Are you the right applicant for this opportunity Find out by reading through the role overview below.Directed by the Electrical Project Manager, the Electrical Designer is responsible for utilizing CAD software systems to generate electrical schematics, 2D drawings and layouts to meet customer specifications and provide support to the Purchasing, Production and Engineering Departments. The Electrical Designer works closely with the Engineering Department to produce electrical schematics and designs that meet design standards, are manufacturable, and are economically feasible, converting 3D models and assemblies into detail drawings that include all electrical terminations and notes necessary for manufacture. Maintains all electronic 3D and 2D data and routinely performs checks to ensure that all data is compliant with company practices.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** Perform all work safely and in accordance with company policies detailed in handbook* Generates 3D/2D electrical designs utilizing CAD software(s) which comply with documented ISO 9001:2015 & AAR standards* Revise layouts, component parts and assembly drawings w/dimensional views* Perform comparison analyses of design to field configurations of wiring and components* Utilizes knowledge of various manufacturing principles, engineering practices, mathematics, materials, and material sciences to complete detailed designs and drawings* Complete design based on sketches and working with other departments* Create and maintain company design standards* Responsible for maintaining & organizing Electrical Production Drawings* Create Bills of Materials - engineering & production, process Engineering Change Notices & Purchase Order Requests* Communicate with Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing regarding new and revised designs or drawings and submit designs to purchasing*POSITION REQUIREMENTS: ** Electrical schematic interpretation* Good technical writing and communication skills preferred* Must be able to learn and utilize additional CAD software platforms* In-depth skill using Microsoft Office 365* Ability to go up and down Frames / Ladders and able to be outside and on the shop floor for extended periods of time* Hand Tool Knowledge, Metal Fabrication Knowledge and Welding Knowledge preferred*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels):** Have a High School Diploma or GED, further education preferred* 2-3 years related experience* Electrical schematic drafting experience preferredJob Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 40 per weekBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Health savings account* Paid time off* Vision insuranceWork Location: In person
