Responsibilities Monitor and record vital signs, respiratory status, and neurological functions. Administer medication, IV fluids, and other therapies, ensuring accurate dosages based on weight. Manage and maintain specialized equipment like incubators, ventilators, and phototherapy lamps. Provide direct patient care, including feeding, bathing, and wound care. Attend high-risk deliveries and respond to neonatal emergencies. Collaborate with doctors, respiratory therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans. Communicate with parents and guardians, providing updates on their baby's condition and medical procedures. Educate parents on basic infant care, feeding, and how to manage their baby's specific needs at home. Requirements Job Qualification One year of NICU RN experience required, completed within the last two years. Active RN license in the state of practice (or compact state if applicable).
