Orion Allied Healthcare is seeking  experienced L&D Registered Nurses (RNs)for a travel assignment in New York, NY. Provide continuous physical and emotional support, including coaching during pushing and assisting with pain management techniques. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with labor-inducing procedures or IV lines. Help the physician or midwife during a vaginal delivery or prepare for and assist with a Cesarean section. Recognize and respond to complications or emergencies that may arise during labor. Provide immediate care for the mother as she recovers and monitor for any complications. Perform initial assessments on the newborn, such as determining Apgar scores. Educate the new parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of recent L&D RN experience Active  RN license Strong critical care skills and ability to perform in high-acuity settings
