Overview:All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.AMERICAN SYSTEMS, an employee-owned company, is seeking an experienced Technical IT Director with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and current polygraph to provide both strategic leadership and hands-on technical expertise to ensure continuous, secure, and reliable IT operations for our government customer's critical national security missions in Chantilly, VA.Responsibilities:As a Technical IT Director, you will:Direct day-to-day IT operations supporting the customer's acquisition support mission.Engage in hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and resolving complex IT system and infrastructure issues.Coordinate closely with Information Assurance, Service Desk, and Software Development teams to maintain seamless operations.Oversee the continuous integration and deployment of software updates.Lead and mentor a team of skilled IT Engineers on new and ongoing technical projects.Manage personnel development, conduct performance reviews, and foster professional growth among AMERICAN SYSTEMS employee-owners.Qualifications:Required:Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with current Polygraph (required for consideration)Bachelor's degree in a STEM fieldDoD 8570/8140 IAT II level certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)10+ years of technical experience supporting IT systems, networks, and software development5+ years of experience supporting Information Assurance/CybersecurityProven management or leadership experience guiding technical teamsDemonstrated success communicating with senior-level customersStrong working knowledge of:VMware and virtual computing environmentsCloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)Networking, storage systems, and information security principlesVirtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), such as CitrixIdeal Candidate Background Includes:At least 5 years of leadership experienceDatabase administration experienceAdvanced VMware experience or certificationAWS or Azure certificationAMS1Pay Transparency Statement: AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.
