You'll gain hands-on experience, tackle diverse challenges, and expand your expertise while providing critical IT support to an established national security customer.Responsibilities:As an Associate Systems Administrator, you will have the opportunity to:Provide direct, hands-on and remote IT support to end users, fostering strong relationships and personalized service.Deploy, operate, and maintain multi-user computer systems and associated applications, ensuring seamless functionality and availability.Independently research and troubleshoot complex technical issues, escalating and coordinating solutions with IT engineers and software developers when necessary.Perform security administration, including account creation and maintenance, including account creation, user permissions, client endpoint installation (desktops, thin clients, printers), and troubleshooting policies.Document troubleshooting steps and solutions clearly within our ticketing system to enhance team knowledge and streamline future problem resolution.Support the ongoing migration and operation of services into cloud environments (AWS and Azure), gaining valuable cloud experience.Author, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for consistent and effective IT operations.Qualifications:Required:Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with current Polygraph (required to be considered)Bachelor's degree in IT or related field; 2+ additional years of directly related experience may substitute for a degreeExperience in Windows Systems Administration, including:Windows 10/11Windows Active DirectoryMicrosoft Office SuiteWindows Server (2016 or newer)Familiarity with desktop/server virtualizationExperience or exposure to cloud platforms, e.g., AWS or Azure (preferred)DoD 8140 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+) or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire (training and certification costs covered)Ideal Candidate Qualities:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsA proactive, customer-focused mindsetEagerness to learn new technologies and contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven environmentNOTE: This role is 100% on-site in Chantilly, VAAMS1Pay Transparency Statement: AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $65,700.00/Yr. - USD $109,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
