This role's ideal candidate will have strong IT and organizational skills, plus a strong fondness for our population.*Want to make an application Make sure your CV is up to date, then read the following job specs carefully before applying.*Job Summary:*To provide technology support for the school (approx. 90 staff & 90 students), maintain and administer all web-based tools, and oversee the post high school IT internship program.* This role is onsite M-F 7:30am-3:00pm with 30 minutes for lunch, and with 5 work hours on or offsite for planning*Detailed Responsibilities:*- Set-up new student and new hire accounts & equipment before their first day and ensure equipment is collected during exits.- Add staff to relevant distribution list for their specific areas of work- Oversee, organize, and actively manage the Post High School student IT support internship program while providing formal mentorship to the interns.- Efficient management of Spiceworks helpdesk ticketing system in a timely manner (respond within 24 hours).- Application management of ALMA- Collaborate with team on yearly system management in ALMA - IT Specialist runs the overall transferring and rolling over information annually, set up and runs report cards. IT support with student schedules.- Troubleshoot common computer, printer, network and general technology problems. Escalate higher tier technical issues to our IT vendor.- Support 1:1 laptop computing environment for approx. 90 students and all staff in regards to repair, maintenance, and updates (Macbooks, Chromebooks, Smartboards, copiers, printers, etc.).- SmartBoard support and troubleshooting.- Google Administration: Gmail, Google Classroom, Accounts, etc.- Maintain and track IT inventory of equipment items and life cycles - laptops, desktops, ipads, chargers, etc.- Yearly laptop sweeps/updates.- Research, develop, implement, install, maintain, and train staff on all new hardware, software, and other technology.- Maintain voicemail and email systems.- Assist with database development and maintenance.- Audio/Visual assistance and maintenance (projectors, smart boards, presentations, etc.).- Audio/Visual assistance for special events Winterfest Talent/Art Show, Graduation, guest speakers, etc.- Maintain/Administrate Cloud based services (i.e. ESPED, ALMA, Google Apps).- MCAS app installation on computers and on days of MCAS exams and running the system through our network globally.- Maintain positive working relationships with faculty, students, and vendors.- Coordinate with Administrators on the student administration system (produce templates, produce report cards, generate transcripts, student schedules, etc.)- Collaborate with and actively participate in Technology Committee meetings and initiatives.- Provide excellent customer service.- Demonstrate technical intuition.- Work collaboratively with various colleagues.- Provide technology focused professional development to staff as needed.- Other IT related projects as needed.- Occasional availability outside of regular work hours for urgent IT issues.*Qualifications:** Bachelor's degree (preferably in IT field)* A minimum of 2 years of IT support experience strongly preferred* Customer service experience and strong people skills to build a positive rapport with all faculty and students* Self-starter and accountable* Attention to detail and organization skills* Demonstrated technical skills* Experience with school applications and systems is a strong plus* Experience with mentorship is a plus* Experience with special education is a strong plus*Benefits**Health, dental, and vision Insurance*Approximately 7 weeks' vacation (approximately 6 weeks when school is not in session and 5 days of your choice)*Other time off (10 holidays, 8 days of sick time, 2 days of personal time, birthday holiday bonus!)*Long term disability and life insurance*401k with discretionary company match*4 weeks paid maternity & 1 week paid paternity leave*Discounts of 20% off on-campus tuition and 10% off online tuition at Regis College and Cambridge College*Paid professional development*Various discounts at local stores and various entertainment venues that Milestones partners with*No out-of-pocket expenses for materialsJob Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Employee discount* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Parental leave* Referral program* Vision insuranceExperience:* IT Specialist: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: In person
