PCE has garnered a wealth of extensive experience in successfully executing major system overhauls across numerous ports throughout the world on virtually every class of ship currently in operation.Ready to apply Before you do, make sure to read all the details pertaining to this job in the description below.  Job Summary / Outside Machinist: Diesel MechanicPerform major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work on diesel marine engines and related marine equipment and systems using work specifications and technical manuals.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed.Maintain open communication with the management team regarding job status, updates, and changes.Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and solutions.Provide guidance and training to junior mechanics and apprentices.Order and manage inventory of parts needed for repairs.Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position. Position Requirements and Experience / Outside Machinist: Diesel MechanicMust be 18 years of age or older to apply.Minimum 5 years of marine and/or shipyard experience preferred.Use of measuring devices (rulers, micrometers, dial indicators, depth mics, scales, etc.), hand tools, and power tools Benefits: Health Insurance (medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance, voluntary plans such as supplemental life insurance, critical illness, and hospital indemnity) Paid Time OffCompany paid holidaysRetirement savings plan (401(k) plan with company matching and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan Career development opportunitiesThis position may require access to U.S. government or military sites.
