If you decide to join us, you will be paid between $120-135k per year, depending on your experience level. This opening is available in either the firm's Jacksonville, FL, St. Petersburg, FL or Winter Haven, FL offices. We are looking for an attorney who enjoys problem solving, desires a high degree of client interaction, and embraces the creative challenge of tackling legal issues presented by the fast-paced and dynamic transportation industry.We are not your "typical" small firm - we have a unique practice that offers attorneys the opportunity to practice in complex areas of the law, including all forms of litigation, federal transportation regulations, catastrophic injuries in trucking accidents, and employment claims. We offer a high degree of substantive client interaction, specialized training and mentoring, independence, and responsibility. The Managing Partners provide mentorship for attorneys who want to become leaders in the transportation industry.*Duties: *·Lead and manage litigation cases from inception through resolution with minimal supervision.· Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.· Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other pertinent documentation with precision and clarity.· Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining professional integrity.· Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and administrative hearings with a focus on effective advocacy.· Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure thorough case preparation and adherence to deadlines.· Maintain detailed case files and documentation in accordance with firm policies and legal standards.· Stay updated on evolving laws and industry best practices through continuous research and professional development.*You must be: *· Responsive to business and client demands in a very fast-paced environment.· Committed to meeting expected metrics and goals.· Reliable with a strong work ethic, able to self-manage case load.· Eager for intellectual challenges an able to embrace complexity.· Organized with good time management skills to handle a busy case load.· Tech savvy, self-starter able to work in a paperless environment.· A PLUS: Expertise in the transportation industry, coupled with insight into clients' businesses and requirements.*Education:*JD from ABA accredited law school and admission to State of Florida Bar. An out of state bar license in addition to the Florida Bar is preferred but not required.*Experience: *7 or more years' experience in litigation.
