*Job Summary*Candidates should take the time to read all the elements of this job advert carefully Please make your application promptly.We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on various types of heavy-duty vehicles, including tractor-trailers and cranes. This role requires hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics and repair, as well as proficiency in using hand tools and welding equipment. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are operating efficiently and safely.*Responsibilities** Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.* Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostics tools.* Repair or replace components such as air brakes, transmissions, and exhaust systems.* Assemble and disassemble engine parts as needed for repairs.* Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.* Utilize hand tools and welding equipment effectively to complete repairs.* Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.*Qualifications** Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in a dealership or repair shop setting.* Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.* Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding techniques.* Experience working on tractor-trailer systems is preferred.* Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.* Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.* Valid driver's license is required; CDL is a plus.* Valid certification as a Diesel Mechanic (e.g., ASE, OEM)* Must have own tools and reliable transportationJoin our team of dedicated professionals where your skills will be valued, and you will have the opportunity to grow in your career as a Diesel Mechanic.Job Type: Full-timePay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 - 50 per weekSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Evening shift* Monday to Friday* Overtime* Weekends as neededExperience:* Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Preferred)* Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)Ability to Commute:* Spartanburg, SC 29301 (Required)Work Location: In person
