We have an open position in our Sodick EDM department. We are looking for an experienced person and offer competitive pay based on experience, quality and productivityThe following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.*Key Responsibilities:*· Work with shop leadership to schedule and set-up details· Work with job leadership to maintain standards, timing and quality· Schedule machines to maximize auto-time overnight using automation while performing key operations during the day· Communicate with electrode programming on best practices for jobs· Work on personal development and bring new technologies in this area to the company to improve process and skill sets.*Additional Duties:*· Grease and PM per maintenance requirements for operator level· Maintain dielectric fluid levels in machines· Maintain work area and maintain precision support tools· Review and complete routers and timecards:· All paperwork needs to be filled out accurately and handled per company quality policies & requirements.· Ensure routers are filled in a used as a guide· Communicate any exceptions with shop leadership for changes· Quality inspection reports· Employees are responsible for completion and verification of all quality documentation for their area.· Update computer database:· Log all time on ERP system in the shop· Manage all CAD files pertaining to your jobs· Comply with all related safety regulations and policies. Advise supervisor of potential hazards:*Safety:*All operators are to use any necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in required areas. It is also the operator's responsibility to notify the job leaders or shop foreman if there are any potential hazards on the shop floor. Comply with all company policies, procedures, guidelines and work instructions related to safety, operations or employment. Know and understand the policies in the handbook.*Qualifications/Job Requirements:*· High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
