Job Title: Server / BartenderLocation: Hal & Mal’s & The Walk-In | Jackson, MSEmployment Type: Part-Time or Full-TimeReports To: Front of House Manager / Operations ManagerPosition Summary:Hal & Mal’s and The Walk-In are seeking experienced and dependable Servers and Bartenders to join our team. This role may be scheduled exclusively as a server or bartender, or may flex between both positions depending on business needs. Candidates must be open to working in either location, with occasional shifts supporting onsite and offsite catering and events.We are looking for team members who bring exceptional hospitality, strong cocktail-making skills, a solid foundation in food knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments.Key Responsibilities:* Deliver outstanding guest experiences with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail* Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders* Craft classic and house cocktails with consistency and care* Provide informed recommendations based on a strong understanding of both the food and beverage menus* Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked bar or service areas* Accurately manage tabs, payments, and POS transactions* Assist in setup, execution, and breakdown of catering events at both on- and offsite venues* Provide consistent, professional service at private and large-scale events* Adapt to event-specific service formats, timelines, and expectations* Communicate clearly and collaborate with back-of-house and front-of-house teams* Support fellow staff and adapt to changing needs throughout the shift* Perform restocking, side work, and cleaning duties with care and efficiency* Follow all health, safety, and alcohol service regulationsRequirements:* At least 2 years of experience as a bartender or server in a full-service restaurant or bar* Strong cocktail-making skills and familiarity with bar tools and techniques* A strong foundation in food knowledge and ability to speak confidently about dishes and ingredients* Exceptional hospitality and communication skills* Willingness to work at both Hal & Mal’s and The Walk-In, as well as offsite events* Availability for late nights, day shifts, weekends, and special events* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods* Experience working in high-volume or live entertainment environments* Knowledge of craft cocktails and seasonal ingredients* Alcohol server certification (or willingness to obtain)Perks:* Competitive wages - Servers have the ability to make $30+ an hour* Complimentary Meals and 50% off when dining as a guest* Major holidays off: We are closed on July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve night, and Christmas day* The chance to be a part of Jackson's biggest day of the year - The Hal's St Paddy's Parade & Festival* Room for advancement as we continue to grow our teamJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Health insuranceWork Location: In person
