Frontier Airlines is the proud recipient of the Federal Aviation Administrations 2015 Diamond Award for maintenance excellence and was recently named the industrys most fuel-efficient airline by The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) as a result of superior technology and operational efficiencies.The Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic ("A&P Mechanic") is a working member of the maintenance organization and is tasked with completing required maintenance on aircraft in a timely manner and in accordance with policy and procedure. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:Perform and assist approved work by their leads within the scheduled shiftEnsure completeness of all assigned work documents and recordsCoordinate all activities with lead mechanic in charge or station supervisorResearch all pertinent information and material for work scheduled on aircraft and carefully follow processes as outlinedAssist in the clean up of the maintenance work areaMaintain cleanliness of maintenance areas at all timesEnsure that all tools (both personal and company owned) are removed from the aircraft, aircraft engines, appliances, and componentsAlways maintain positive tool control accountabilityImmediately report lost and/or found tools to managementEnter completed work into maintenance tracking software systemsComply with and implement the necessary procedures in the MEL/CDL/NEF ProgramMake FMIS entries as requiredMaintain currencyin training requirementsThis is a bargaining unit position with schedule, shift and pay determined by seniority. All A&P Mechanics may be required to participate in AOG field trips as outlined in the labor contract.QualificationsFAA-certified mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings2 years of experience performing heavy aircraft maintenance to include: maintenance checks, engine changes, landing gear replacement, structural repairs, flight control rigging, etc. or Airbus 319/320/321 aircraft or similar heavy aircraftKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust complete differences training as necessaryMust obtain Taxi and Run-up qualification within 6 months of startMust be able to perform strenuous work requiring lifting, pushing, and/or pulling of objects in excess of 100lbs. occasionally and objects in excess of 50lbs. regularlyDemonstrated safety-consciousnessAbility to work well as part of a teamStrong interpersonal communication skills - both verbally and in writingAbility to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritiesDemonstrated timeliness and dependabilityHourly Rate:Starts at $24.66, then increases to $25.40 after 90 days of service.Premium rates:$1.20 A License Premium$1.20 P License Premium$0.50 Graveyard Shift Premium$0.15 Line PremiumDisclaimer: The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature and level of work required of the referenced position; they are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of individuals in this position.
