Learn more about the many benefits of PET bottles here. *with existing technologies including chemical recycling Amcor Rigid Packaging AR Collections Analyst Manchester, MI Position Description Responsible for the daily maintenance and collection of assigned customer accounts receivable for Amcor Rigid Packaging North American business. Reconcile customer accounts and work closely with Commercial teams to resolve payment issues using a strategic collections platform, SAP and other analytical tools. Targeted average of 95% current per month. Essential Functions Customer Account Reconciliations - Analyze accounts associated with our major customers to identify and document potential issues. Develop customer relationships and work directly to resolve discrepancies. Analyze information using excel, power pivots and queries and manage large data sets in excel and other query type databases Customer Collections: Small to Mid-Range Accounts - Use a strategy-based software to perform collection activities including the tracking of internal and external communications, create detailed notations on past due items, set automated reminders, and leveraging of a daily work que. Major Account - Leverage advanced Excel skills to combine multiple data files from both internal and external sources into a tracking document which can be used to identify by reason any potential discrepancies needing resolution. Work with Cash Coordinator and customers to resolve remittance advice issues and banking changes. This includes the utilization of customer and banking portals. Assist with cash application for major customers due to the high level of intricacy as needed. Generate and distribute monthly A/R aging reports using SAP reporting tools. Review credit utilization on a monthly basis to ensure that customer limits are aligned with actual and forecasted sales. Assist with new customer credit reviews, risk assessments and recommendations using online communication platform. Prepare detailed statements for customers as needed and review system generated statements prior to monthly distribution. Work with every level of Commercial Sales and Finance teams from each business unit to achieve monthly 95% current target for assigned engagements. Coordinate required support documentation for past due balances (invoices, proof of delivery, etc.). This requires building relationships with plant personnel, customer contacts and sales accounting. Track credit and debit memos and ensure they are cleared against the appropriate invoices in a timely fashion. Process journal entries as needed. Other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager. Key Success Factors Strong self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced business environment. Must be able to thrive in a team-environment, interacting effectively with others to meet departmental goals. Education & Experience Required Bachelor''s degree in Accounting/Finance. 1 - 2 years account experience preferably collections. 1-2 years Accounts Receivable or Accounting experience. SAP receivables experience required, preferred with additional cash application experience. Cash-On-Time or similar collections platform experience preferred. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required, and Microsoft Office Suite experience a must, Office 365 preferred.
