Job Details Industrial Engineer- Labor Relations & Human Resources Cleveland-Cliffs is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America. The company is vertically integrated from mining through iron making, steelmaking, rolling, finishing and downstream with hot and cold stamping of steel parts and components. The primary purpose of this position is to improve business results by providing daily reports on plant irregularities, injuries, damage and environmental. Responsibilities: Prepare Reports Weekly: Overtime Report, hiring and attrition numbers, and Training Hours Report, Tracking Report Monthly: Productivity Report man hours per ton plant-wide and by department Maintain Incentive plans for which includes design, development, implementation, and adjustments. Calculate weekly incentives. Calculate yearly incentive standards Support Labor Relations by supplying pay history for grievances and arbitrations; also assists in arbitration preparation. Calculate monthly performance for all units and departments. Calculate retro payment for grievance and arbitration settlements. Maintain the vacation system. Enter vacation changes and monitor quotas Give access to approved users Vacation bidding and administration Maintain force reporting system and give access to users. Responsible for establishing a base pay rate for hourly employees. Provides support for hourly pay policies when pay questions arise for force reporting employees in the areas of training, special assignments, special meetings, & convenience of management situations. Maintain Union Officer Pay and resolve pay issues. Maintain "Remark" and "Delay" codes to production reporting. Calculate rates and overtime guidelines. Perform staffing analysis studies in the plant as requested. Maintain Tracking Report, which shows FTEs by job title and department - weekly distribution. Works on special projects as requested Process and maintain payroll including adjustments, investigate irregularities, correct errors, submission and reporting. Identifies and reports on organizational change/process/automation improvement opportunities. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college or university. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Self-starter who displays motivation, innovation, and enthusiasm.
