***This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. ***Location: Grand Prairie, TX Position Summary:Within General Procurement (GP), the job holder performs tactical procurement activities within the assigned Regional Hub, using a regional and trans-divisional approach and taking into account the companies boundaries.Primary Responsibilities:1. Order & Receive Product / Service: 60%Review, track and process Purchase Requests, ensuring correct payment terms, HMG, and alignment with the process.Issue Purchase OrdersSupport internal customer issues and training for the ordering processEnsure that deliverables are in line with the contractual terms (cost, time, quality).2. Drive Sourcing Projects: 15%Obtain quotes and perform Requests for InformationPerform Call for Tenders with a mainly regional focus within the scope of the Regional Hub.Deliver on initiatives contributing to Group Savings Programs using the levers of requirements for harmonization/standardization, the challenge of the specifications, volume aggregation, and control of the demand to ensure achievementLead project teams within the framework of regional and/or single-division procurement projects, contribute to the control of the demand, challenge, approve the specifications and run the supplier selection processes within the defined boundaries.Negotiate, establish and implement project contracts.Monitor savings linked to demand management and procurement performance; contribute to secure and achieve Group Savings Program commitments.3. Procurement Strategy and Compliance: 10%Ensure compliance with the procurement strategy defined by the General Procurement Board (GPB) and the Multi-Functional Teams (MFT) within the scope of the Regional Hub.Secure long-term alignment of the preferred supplier base with the long-term trans-national and trans-divisional strategic needs of Group.Conduct the procurement process in order to fulfill business needs and provide internal customers with valued services in compliance with the General Procurement procedures and guidelines and with respective commodity strategies and boundaries defined by the Commodity Management Organization, to achieve customer satisfaction.Provide the MFT''s and GPB with strategically relevant input to support strategy development.Ensure compliance with General Procurement processes.Respect and comply with rules and processes defined by the Commodity Management organization to ensure correct execution of tactical and transactional procurement activities to full customer satisfaction.Contribute to the implementation of new procurement techniques such as e-procurement and e-catalogs, as needed.5. Supplier Management: 15Þvelop and maintain an efficient supply chain capable of delivering goods/work packages (services), matching Airbus Group requirements and business objectives.Ensure continuous commercial relationships with suppliers in order to secure work with best-in-class suppliers and protect Group from contractual risks.Support supplier setup process and ensure proper payment terms.Follow-up contracts with contract reviews within Group''s internal customer base and suppliers, based on consistent and factual KPIs, evaluate and improve suppliers'' performance in terms of time, costs, and quality.Assess suppliers'' overall performance and the impact of weak performance on Group; and initiate recovery actions when necessary.Additional Responsibilities:Performs other duties as assigned.Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:Education:Required: A Bachelor''s degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experienceExperience:Minimum of four (4) years in a procurement or commodity-related function.Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:Project management skills sufficient to perform procurement projects/call for tenders.Basic negotiation skills.Basic knowledge about procurement contracts.Basic financial skills.Demonstrated success as a participant in an effective team.Customer-focused and solution-oriented.Demonstrated skill as a problem-solver.Ability to work in a multi-cultural munication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):Fluency in written and spoken English sufficient to successfully negotiate required.Some degree of fluency in German, French, and/or Spanish is highly desirable.Technical Systems Proficiency:Microsoft Word/Excel knowledge requiredKnowledge of and experience in SAP strongly preferred.Travel Required: 10% Domestic and International
