Job Description

Starpoint Early Intervention is committed to serving the diverse populations of families with children with special needs in the Fremont and Chaffee county areas. Our team of highly trained professionals is trained to help each child reach their maximum cognitive, social, educational, and emotional potential in the home, school, and community settings. We are currently seeking Special Educators (ECSE) to provide direct services through our Early Intervention (EI) programs. EI Services to be provided in home-based settings. In your role as a Developmental Interventionist, you will provide in-home early intervention services, Special Instruction, to children birth to 3 years old with disabilities or special needs and their families. RESPONSIBILITIES: Focus on promoting caregiver-child interactions and supporting caregivers in learning new strategies they can use to enhance the child''s development and participation in the natural activities and routines of everyday life. Collect data and create intervention strategies and activities. Write Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) goals. Flexible personal schedule to conduct assessments and meet with families and other parties at their convenience. Able to adjust activity plans to changing family needs and issues. Able to work with a wide variety of social, economic, and cultural backgrounds. Maintain confidentiality and use appropriate protocols for the release of information Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and the physical ability to enter various buildings including homes and to interact with infants and toddlers at their level. Full-time position non-exempt position. $25.00 to $28.00 per hour QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and Experience (minimum requirements) Master''s degree is required in Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education. Must have Colorado State Licensure in ECE, ECSE, or related field. Valid driver''s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation Prior experience in special education, early childhood development, or developmental disabilities is helpful. Great interpersonal and communication skills. Travel Requirements: This position requires travel. PI187863003
