Mortgage Operations Manager

Description: The Mortgage Operations Manager (on site) will direct the daily processing and servicing functions within the Mortgage Department.ResponsibilitiesAssigns, directs, supervises, and reviews daily operations of mortgage processing and servicing. Maintains the quality and progress of work product in the department. Makes hiring recommendations and reviews work performance of mortgage processing and servicing TEAM members.Operates PC and software programs used in generating mortgage loan forms and transmission of mortgage loan information to the secondary market.Evaluates mortgage processes, makes recommendations, and implements changes to ensure efficiency and quality.Oversees closing and post-closing duties necessary to complete a mortgage loan (in-house and secondary).Maintains a thorough knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines, secondary market guidelines, credit granting criteria, interest rates and how they are computed, and the proper documentation required for each type of loan.Balances general ledger accounts used by the Mortgage DepartmentOther duties as assigned. Requirements: Must be able to work onsite in Tuscaloosa, AL. High school diploma or GED and at least three years of progressively responsible experience working with lending operations. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to lead others effectively. Must have proficiency with standard operating and lending software.PI189541492
