We lean on our colleagues for their expertise and hold each other accountable.What you''ll be doingAs the Sr. Principal Engineer, Systems Engineering for the Product Design Owner team, you will be working side-by-side with the Product Design Owner of Baxter''s Acute dialysis machines, you will create innovative solutions/ processes/methods through novel combinations of expertise within the organization.Key member of the Platform Engineering - Product Design Owner team.Contribute to technical and design feasibility analysis of complex design concepts within area of expertise; advise management regarding appropriate action.Reach conclusions based on technical analysis and incorporate recommendations into larger projects. Apply advanced techniques to solving difficult problemsIndependently plan and implement a series of design and/or technical tasks that may not be well-defined, have multiple variables, and require advanced implementation techniques.Play a lead role in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of various techniques, which accomplish business objectives such as quality and cycle-time.Routinely provide advice and assistance to team members regarding unique problems.Devise innovative approaches to sophisticated problems through adaptations and modifications of standard technical and design principles. Incorporate new methods and technologies for improving existing or new products/processes.Execute engineering change control efforts per established processes and manage the deliverables per QMS requirements.Maintain current knowledge of relevant Quality System Regulations and other regulatory requirements related to research and development (product development, design and safety) to ensure compliance in all research, data collection and reporting activities. In addition to having an in-depth knowledge and understanding of GxP and related regulations and guidance, is able to provide expert insight.Coordinate design change implementation in production and into markets.Write and coordinate the design and development of system level requirements to meet service, marketing, engineering, commercial, regulatory, and compliance needs.What you will bring:BS in engineering (Electrical, Software, Mechanical or Systems Engineering or equivalent) with 10 + years of experience or master''s degree in an engineering field with 7 + years of experienceMinimum of 5 years'' experience in medical device development or regulated industryKnowledge of the medical device industry and relevant standards (e.g. ISO 13485, IEC 60601, MDR) preferredHands-on experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) toolsUnderstanding of system design of electromechanical productsSome leadership experienceLI-MS1IND-USGBRDThe successful candidate for this job may be required to verify that he or she has been vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to reasonable accommodations for individuals with medical conditions or religious beliefs that prevent vaccination, and in accordance with applicable law.Equal Employment OpportunityBaxter is an equal opportunity employer.
