The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Full-time Faculty Research Audiologist. The applicant should have experience in clinical research including developing protocols, navigating the institutional review board process, data collection/analysis, grant writing, and manuscript preparation/submission. This position will be funded by the department for a limited time until the faculty can secure independent extramural funding. The department currently employs three full-time Neuro-otologist, 23 clinical audiologists, and 4 speech pathologists. The department has an active adult and pediatric cochlear implant program that would serve as the research focus for this position. Education and experience Ph.D in Audiology or Clinical doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. This position will Initiate and develop independent research inquiries in the field of pediatric and adult cochlear implantation.Collaborate with faculty neurotologists, and clinical audiologists in the UT Southwestern Department of Otolaryngology on existing and new investigations in the field of cochlear implantation. Compliance with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate enforced by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) is a requirement for this position.
