SERVICE DESK SPECIALIST POSITION DESCRIPTIONPOSITION SUMMARY: The Service Desk Specialist ensures that installations, configurations, upgrades, and repairs adhere to organizational goals and objectives. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and customers.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide on-site I and II support for various software and hardware issues.Participate in off-hours on-call rotation for remote support.Conducts installations, configurations, upgrade tasks, and basic repairs.Customer service oriented - promote positive and end-user interactions and ensure troubleshooting process is an enjoyable experience.Utilize and observe established SLAs to ensure timely responses and assistance to phone, email, and on-site support requests.Ability to communicate effectively either written or verbally.Be able to document processes or procedures according to best practices or if audit purposes require it.Identify and resolve technical issues. Be willing to investigate, learn, and ask questions.Able to multitask projects and prioritize issues effectively.Be willing to learn new skills and apply those skills in the day-to-day activities.The ability to work individually or as part of a small group.Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.Maintain positive and effective working relationships with internal and external partners.The statements contained herein reflect the principal function and most significant duties of the job but should not be considered to be an all-inclusive listing of work requirements. Experience may be substituted for part of educational qualifications as appropriate.EDUCATION PREFERRED Associates degree related to IT and 2+ years of IT job experience, or Bachelors degree related to IT, or 4+ years of IT certifications (ex.
