CONTROLS TECHNICIANJoin an exciting, technical environment at ATC Automation in Cookeville, TN. ATC Automation designs and builds engineered to order automated assembly and test equipment for various industries including transportation, life science, and consumer goods. ATC is looking to hire a Controls Technician to create and support custom automation equipment. A Controls Technician reads and understands electrical and pneumatic schematics, understands electrical wiring methods, panel build, troubleshoots and de-bugs complex electrical and pneumatic functions. At ATC you will work in a unique and dynamic team environment. Division of ATC Automation can be found here: This is a full-time position with a full benefit package, that is direct hire with the opportunity of professional growth and additional growth opportunities across our corporate organization. This position is located at our HQ in Cookeville, TN reporting to the Business Unit Manager.Responsibilities include (but not limited to):Reads and analyze electrical and pneumatic prints.Understands proper wiring methods.Performs panel build and all field wiring.Performs basic machine de-bug, such as I/O.Tests operations of assemblies.Can use voltmeters, ammeters, and other diagnostic instruments.Has disposition authority on rejects and rework.Assists with troubleshooting of equipment.Travel requiredMay: require basic programming skillsQualifications:High School and Vocational Technical School.3+ years of work experience.Physical Demands: Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor.Physically be underneath machines working overhead. Exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally. •Exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.VISUAL ACUITY: Near acuity with or without accommodation. •HEARING Ability: Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose.Working Conditions:High noise levels from operation machines.Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.Skin exposure to oil and fluids.ATC Automation is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
