Assistant Park Manager of Small Parks

Apply online today.Pay Rate: Apprentice rate: $22.05 per hour; After three months, base pay: $27.56 per hour. Maximum pay rate is $29.56 per hour.We are one park district, one community.Mowing and maintaining turf grass, applying pesticides, preparing and maintaining planting beds and performing all necessary landscape maintenance in the parks.Keeping the grounds and structures free of graffiti, litter and all other debris.Checking the parks for vandalism and making necessary minor repairs. Reporting all vandalism to the Small Parks Manager.Maintaining athletic fields, sand volleyball and tennis courts as well as other facilities located in the small parks.Performing preventative maintenance on all equipment.Assisting the Park Manager with supervision of staff assigned to the parks and keeping time records, attendance records and other reports as requested.Working with other parks division maintenance crews during the winter months on an as needed the absence of the Small Parks Manager, be in charge of the park maintenance work and crew in the parks as instructed.Following all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed. Support all aspects of the Park District''s safety program.Perform other duties as assigned.Please see the attachment for the job description.
