Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a people-first Electronic Systems Certification Manager to join our team in Everett, Washington. Certification is fundamental to Boeing''s development of commercial airplanes which is enabled by the role of our Engineering-Unit Members (E-UMs).In this role you will lead a team of E-UMs working across complex Electronic Systems in their compliance finding activities ensuring compliance to our Boeing processes. This role will require close partnership with the Electronic Systems (Avionics and Electrical Subsystems) leaders, Commercial Airplane Program leaders, and Boeing Certification stakeholders. This role requires advocating for the E-UMs in their compliance activities to ensure the successful certification of our products. This role also includes supporting E-UMs in training and talent pipeline growth. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Working with the applicant (Electronic Systems design teams) on ensuring approved certification processes are applied.Maintaining the approved list of standard means of compliance for the functional organization.Ensuring that Engineering unit member (E-UM) participation in certification issue resolution is appropriate. Supervising E-UM development and management for their area of responsibility. Supporting the Functional Cert Leader and E-UM Administrator in ensuring regulatory policy communication within the functional area, including distribution to E-UM Advisors, E-UMs, and E-UMs in training (E-UMITs).Support the Functional Cert Leader and E-UM Administrator to ensure resolution of issues and concerns and to protect the E-UMs from undue pressure.Forecast and develop plans to maintain an adequate number of appropriately delegated E-UMs that are available for the work statement, based on BCA program requirements. Support Identification and recommendation of prospective E-UM Advisors to the E-UM Administrator.Supporting the E-UM Administrator in Maintenance of E-UM data in the Unit Member Database (UMDB), identifying all Boeing E-UMs and their areas of responsibility.Support the Functional Cert Leader, E-UM Administrator and the SAW Manager, and E-UMs mentoring E-UMITs, by helping to coordinate the E-UM appointments, expansions, reinstatements, oversight, training and annual performance evaluations.Coordinate with E-UMITs to ensure timely completion of training and process steps. Support E-UM determinations on non-compliances and advise and support Non Compliance Boeing Problem Solving Models (BPSMs).The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
