This position will be located at the East Alton, IL facility. Read on to learn more about this exciting opportunity and join our quest for the best.Essential Functions*: Plastics injection molding: tool design, tool maintenance and process improvement.Plastics tube extrusion tool design and process improvement.Plastics process development, refinement, and optimization.Troubleshoots plastics manufacturing processes.Plastics component measurement and design.Conducts Statistical Process Control (SPC) data collection and analysis.Coordinates project activities with external suppliers.Assists New Product Development group in new component design.Manages capital budgets and timelines.Participates in Continuous Improvement Teams.Position Requirements*: Bachelor of Science **degree in Plastics Engineering; Advanced degree in Plastics Engineering preferred.Minimum five years of recent related plastics manufacturing experience. Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of ten years of experience in plastics injection molding or plastic extrusion manufacturing will also be considered. Knowledge of Plastic resins, raw materials analysis, selection, and optimization. Microsoft Office and AutoCAD design software including Inventor modeling.Previous experience with Infinity SPC software and Minitab software preferred.Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt preferred.Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously preferred. Ammunition and firearm experience along with knowledge of the shooting sports industry preferred.Must possess excellent leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, presentation, and report writing/structuring skills.Some travel required.This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate''s ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.What''s in it for you?
