Job DescriptionCabinetworks Group located in Orwell, OH is looking for a Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift weekend crew! 3 - 12-hour shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.With limited supervision, the Maintenance Technician performs intermediate scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency tasks on all electromechanical equipment in designated areas, to minimize down time and to meet all quality and productivity standards. The Tech also completes tasks such as PMs (Preventative Maintenance) in a timely fashion in accordance with published schedules. Primary functions focus on maintenance of production equipment and/or facilities and support.Overtime is posted as needed. Workload is per production schedule with department''s specific standardsDuties:Diagnose, reports, and repairs sub-standard equipment by troubleshooting to the component levelPrepares for use, performs operational checks, inspects and completes routine repairs and major overhauls with little or no immediate supervisionRequests, withdraws parts from inventory, and replaces defective or worn parts to makes all necessary adjustments for the proper operation of the equipmentDemonstrates the ability to prevent equipment down time through observation, communications with production staff and proactive problem solvingProperly communicates and documents all work performed in our CMMS System, in compliance with work order process guidelinesComplies with all applicable Best Practices, Maintenance and Safety Policies, and building codesExpends most of the effort and time on the designated equipment, but completes other duties as assigned.Position Qualifications:3 Years'' experience in a heavy mechanical/electrical manufacturing environmentStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsStrong background in electro-mechanical processMust be resourceful and apply critical thinking skills in problem solvingKnowledge of TPM or other continuous improvement processes preferredKnowledge of automated processing systemsHas experience with PLC and their operations and components.Principles of mechanics (coupling, shaft alignment, bearings, gears, belt splicing & lubrication)Knowledge of technical documents, drawings, and schematics reading experience preferredKnowledge of AC/DC and servo motors and drivesStrong computer skillsPhysical RequirementsRequires lifting, carrying, and pushing, pulling weight up to 75 lbs. occasionally, average weight is 1 lb. - 50 lbs. frequently. The ability to work at heights up to 30 feet using safety harnessWork at a swift and steady pace. Critical and physical demands are reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, trunk turning and twisting. Must be capable of working outside in all weather conditions.Must have sufficient hand eye coordination to handle precise movements.Visual and Hearing DemandsNear, far, and peripheral vision is necessary in all aspects of job duties.Hearing is necessary to interact with other co-workers.
