Position Summary: The Executive Director, Price & Contracting Strategy will serve as the key strategy and content expert at Horizon for all things payor, trade, and site of care (SOC) contracting. The ED will also be responsible for developing the appropriate pricing strategy and process for current products as well as pipeline assets, working closely with the global team. The ED will work closely with the US Market Access team to develop processes and educate key internal stakeholders on appropriate communication and governance for both innovative & simple contracting strategies, net pricing policies, related market access analytics, and price reporting for all channel segments. Furthermore, the ED will collaborate with US Market Access, Finance, and Legal teams to conceptualize potential contracting structures, evaluate through rigorous research, conduct exhaustive analysis, facilitate robust cross-function dialogue, present recommendations to the pricing committee, and implement contracts. The ED will have extensive experience and successful history in strategically developing and evaluating contracting terms with commercial and government payors, trade partners, as well as SOC for infused medicines. This role is accountable for developing, communicating, tracking, and executing pricing & contracting strategies and associated analyses that support Horizon medicines in achieving commercial performance objectives. Responsibilities:Serve as the contracting expert, lead cross-functional collaboration, and oversee implementation of all contracting and net pricing strategies, including analyzing GTN impact and executing rebates, chargebacks, etc. for all US channels to optimize product performance.Lead, manage, and develop the team to support all contracting and analytics responsibilities.Build & educate internal stakeholders on a governance framework to evaluate potential contracting opportunities to facilitate contract approval.Establish strategic contracting options (simple & innovative) to optimize the profitability of individual brands and the portfolio across all channels.Develop private & public payor, trade, and SOC contracting strategies working closely with Market Access colleagues as well as Legal, Finance, Trade, and Account teams. Ensure that strategies are integrated into and aligned with brand strategies and objectives.Lead analytics to examine the profitability of contracts across channels, including the development of dashboards, KPIs, and reports for the Executive Leadership Team.Work cross-functionally to implement contracting strategies that facilitate appropriate product access aligned to product performance objectives for all payor, trade & SOC channels.Lead the development and administration of all contractual rebates and fees; ensure reporting mechanisms accurately reflect compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and obligations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (global value & access, corporate development, US market access) to assess lifecycle strategic pricing, including pre-and post-launch price management, market channel-specific net pricing policies, portfolio pricing, and contracting.Participate in the Pricing Committee to develop recommendations for consideration in conjunction with US Market Access, Finance, Legal, and Brand teams.Leads partnership with all outside consultants/vendors as it relates to Pricing, Contracting & Analytics.Work with Finance, Legal and Trade teams to execute pricing and relevant reporting for all channels in the US in compliance with government regulations.Support the development and maintenance of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliant plete all company-based and job-related training as assigned by Horizon within the required timeline.Qualifications and Skills Required:B.A. or B.S.
