Kitchen Steward - Full and Part Time (Beau Rivage)

PRIMARY PURPOSE:As a Kitchen Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the dishes, glassware, flatware and the dish area. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Breakdown, load, unload, catch, and properly sort dishes, glassware and flatware as it is brought to the dish areaWash, sort, and store pots in their proper location on the shelf, large items on the bottom shelfLoad dishwashing solution into automatic dispenser and regulate the output of detergent and chemicals to the dish washing machine by monitoring and adjusting controlsUnload clean dishes from rack after being processed through dish machine, inspect for cleanliness and carefully stack in specified carts and shelvesPolish silver, copper and brass in all areas, as neededRegular transport of equipment such as hot and cold box, speed rack, Queen Mary, and push cart from hallway to deliver to other outlets and facilitatesSweep and mop floors and wash floor matsWash baseboard, floor drain, hand sink, table and cutting boardSeparate and remove trash, garbage and place in designated containers; steam clean and hose out garbage canPerform other job-related duties as requestedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to be efficient, detail-oriented, flexible, and fastKnowledgeable of the Health and Safety regulationsWorking knowledge of basic kitchen equipmentExcellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contactsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidaysPREFERRED:High school diploma or equivalentSix (6) months of related kitchen experienceExperience working in a similar resort settingLocation:Biloxi, MississippiMGM Resorts International is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Women/Minorities/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
