Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA''s Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA''s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division provides industry leading metrology solutions for worldwide semiconductor IC manufacturers. The FaST Division portfolio of metrology products includes hardware and software solutions for optical film thickness, optical critical dimension (CD), composition, and resistivity measurement systems. These products are essential for the IC manufacturers as they provide critical metrology capabilities for the development and implementation of their advanced IC processes. The FaST division is committed to support our customers to achieve performance entitlement of our solution and we effectively partner with our customers from their early research and development phase to the high volume in-line manufacturing implementation specific for their process needs. The division consists of a global team located in US, Israel, China, and India.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop software solutions for semiconductor device and thin film metrologyWork with both internal and external customers to define requirements for these software solutionsCollaborate with Applications and Advanced Algorithms teams to define the software architecture from the UI to the backendBuild machine learning-based software solutionsOptimize algorithms and prototypical solutions for efficient implementationDesign, develop, implement, oversee, and adapt APIExtend prototypes into fully functional, polished solutions ready for internal and/or external useImplement solutions in Python and C/C++Write comprehensive unit tests and provide technical support during alpha and beta testingDocument the design and implementation of the software solutions, and give presentations both internally and externally regarding the workMaintain new and existing software solutions throughout the life-cycle of our toolsPreferred QualificationsStrong background in software architecture, modern development practices, and design patternsStrong background in Python and C, especially in writing production-quality, object-oriented codeStrong background in parallel / distributed computing, performance profiling, and memory optimizationStrong background in machine learning and TensorFlow frameworkProficient in UI design and front-end workExperience in API development is a plusExperience in Azure DevOps is a plusExperience in computational physics and numerical simulations is a plusExperience in semiconductors (electrical properties, manufacturing, and metrology) is a plusAbility and willingness to travel worldwide to support projects at customer sites is a plusMinimum QualificationsPhD in Computer Science or related computational field with at least 1 years of experience orMS in Computer Science or related computational field with at least 3 years of experienceHands-on experience in machine learning and TensorFlow frameworkHands-on experience in object-oriented and functional programmingCOVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required where permitted by law.
