A member of our recruitment team will discuss the options with you in more detail.MUFG''s Loan Operations team services several lines of business within MUFG for the Americas; including Wholesale and Investment Banking, Japanese Corporate Banking, Securitization, and Supply Chain Finance. The Loan Operations team provides end to end loan origination, servicing, restructuring and trading support. Services are tailored to meet the needs of the clients and line of businesses including, but not limited to: Loan Origination, Deal Closing & Funding, Collateral/Document Review/Doc Workflow Management, Loan Servicing, Trade Confirmations & Settlement, Credit Control functions, and Syndicated/Agent Bank Booking and Servicing.Job Summary:The Outside Counsel Document Administrators are responsible for receipt and maintenance of Legal Document records, including Dual Custody Collateral, Pledge Determination, Physical Document Retention, etc. They work closely with our Deal Closing teams to ensure that we have proper reconciliation of our Document requirements for new deals, amendments, and terminations, to ensure that we have received all required documents and collateral related to the Closing.Major Responsibilities:Perform due diligence on collateral pledged and monitor on-going quality control of document requirements.Proactively manage collateral and original document records.Review loan documentation for accuracy and consistency within product guidelines and bank policies.Create digital folders and tracking for each borrower/entity/loan.Maintain well organized physical and electronic filing, using a consistent filing system.Review custodial reports and verify the banks collateral has been received and review any collateral exceptions.Produce collateral receipts and Release collateral when required and verified.Verify all new loans and amendment are tracked and monitored for completeness and accuracy.Coordinate and monitor various scheduled activities.Download/extract and monitor reports for daily, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting. May be required to reformat system generated reports using Excel or other report writing applications. Resolve any issues and work with internal and external partners, as needed.Maintain knowledge of current lending policies, procedures and regulations. Attends and completes all necessary training.Assist in supporting management during internal/external examinations of the specialized lending group loan portfolio, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.Provide input to help identify workflow/internal control inefficiencies and costly processes; provides suggestions for process improvements. May assist with updating operating procedures and customer guides.Ensures adherence to all bank policies and procedures relative to Regulatory Compliance including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, Privacy Act, Regulations Q& X, Customer identification Program, Know Your Customer, Suspicious Activity Reports.Qualifications:Undergraduate degree plus 1- 3 years of Legal Documentation experience is preferred.Proficient in utilizing tools with MS Suite, Outlook, Excel, etc.Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work in a team environment, with great communication skills.Prior experience working in a Corporate environment where there is a need to prioritize and balance numerous responsibilities, with Office working conditions.Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, as may be required for physical document packing, shipping, etc.Critical decision-making abilities including the ability to identify, escalate, and propose solutions to problems.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
