USGP has an opportunity for a PHARMACY TECHNICIAN to provide services to our military service members, their families, and veterans within NAVAL BRANCH HEALTH CLINIC, MAYPORT FL.Benefits:Competitive Pay – $18.G4 + Health and Welfare StipendBenefits to include Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance and a 401KPaid Time Off and Sick Time availableSchedule: M-F 0600-2100 (Mayport, FL)Qualifications:Degree/Education: Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or a formal pharmacy technician program (i.e., technical, hospital, or retail-basedprogram) or a formal medical services training program of the United States Military.Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Must have an active BLS through American Heart Association or military programExperience: Possess a minimum of 12 months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician with the preceding 36Board Certification: Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).Job Duties:Perform a full range of pharmacy technicianPerform pharmaceutical dispensing duties including filling new outpatient prescriptions, refilling prescriptions, and entering orders intoPerform information consultation duties including supporting new and refill prescriptions, supporting patient requests, supporting physician’s requests, monitoring for drug interactions, and reporting adverse drugPerform quality improvement duties including performing drug storage inspection, reviewing expired supplies, and producing error and workload reports anddocumentation.Perform supply process duties including placing new orders, stocking/restocking shelves, inventory maintenance, producing not in stockProvide patient medication information andExcellent written and oral communication skills to perform the accurate and timeliness entry of records, encounter closures within 72-hours, reports, anddocumentation, both written and electronic communication of all information, as appropriate, to include pain patient agreements, pharmacotherapeutic treatment findings and recommendations.Educate and orient self and other staff members to the operations and policies of thepharmacy department and clinic.Answer telephone call questions from patients or hospital staff on pharmacy relatedEnsure that work areas are clean and safe according to applicableAt USGP, we are invested in the growth and support of the veterans, and their families, that we serve.
