Director of Accounting and Finance

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Accounting and Finance to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $175,000 to $220,000 per year. Job Responsibilities: Lead and mentor the accounting team, promoting a culture of accountability and professional growth. Oversee financial reporting, including monthly close, capital account analysis, and internal statements. Manage tax compliance, payroll oversight, and coordination with external auditors and advisors. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership. Ensure financial operations align with regulatory requirements and organizational goals. Requirements: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance leadership roles. Strong background in financial reporting, tax planning, and internal controls. Proven ability to manage capital processes, including funding, distributions, and investment reporting. Experience working with financial systems and technology platforms to enhance reporting accuracy. Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA is preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Demonstrated success in managing audits and liaising with external financial professionals. Strong understanding of financial compliance, including payroll and sales tax regulations.
