Distribution Field Technician

Job Title: Distribution Field Technician Job Description We are seeking a Distribution Technician to assist with inspecting power distribution poles, contributing to our Power Distribution Engineering team and the growing Power Sector. Responsibilities * Perform visual inspections of overhead and underground electrical distribution facilities and equipment. * Collect and compile field data and prepare minor work orders. * Generate maintenance reports for distribution equipment. * Assist with storm damage assessments for overhead and underground distribution structures and equipment in various locations. Essential Skills * Data collection expertise. * Experience in the electric utility and utility industry. * Proficiency in field data collection. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Familiarity with the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) or utility experience is preferred. * Knowledge of computers and software applications, especially MS Office products, is desired. * A clean and valid driver's license is required. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Halifax, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
