The team is rapidly expanding across accounting and finance to focus at the corporate level and ensure the most optimal processes are in place for long-term success.Job DescriptionAccounting Manager Responsibilities:Lead the monthly financial close process across four manufacturing plants, integrating multiple accounting systems (Sage and SAP) and managing foreign currency transactionsReview and approve journal entries and accruals to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingOversee monthly account reconciliations and weekly bank reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial recordsPrepare and analyze consolidated financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement; develop trend analyses and quarterly lender reporting packagesPartner with FP&A, operations, and plant finance teams to analyze variances and monitor financial performanceConduct ad hoc financial analyses and contribute to special projects to support business decision-makingSupport the annual external audit by preparing required documentation and coordinating with auditorsContribute to the development and documentation of business processes and standard operating procedures to enhance financial reporting and internal controlsIdentify and recommend process improvements, leveraging data and automation to increase efficiency and reduce complexityAssist in the design and implementation of new financial systems and reporting tools to drive operational excellenceProvide leadership and mentorship to Senior Accountants, supporting their professional growth and developmentMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
