Position: Loan Administrator/ Specialist Location: Los Angeles, CA Firm Overview: BrightSpire Capital, Inc. is an internally managed commercial real estate (CRE) credit REIT focused on originating, acquiring, financing, and managing a diversified portfolio of CRE debt investments and net leased real estate investments. CRE debt investments primarily consist of senior mortgage loans, which we expect to be the primary investment strategy. For more information, please visit Job Description: BrightSpire Capital is seeking a Loan Administrator/Specialist to join its asset management team. The candidate will report to the Vice President of Asset Administration and will assist with various tasks, including reporting, loan onboarding and resolution, loan draws and advances, as well as communication with borrowers and third parties. The candidate will be joining a seasoned team and will be expected to integrate effectively by demonstrating a strong work ethic. Responsibilities: Manages the Loan Advance and Draw process, including receiving borrower requests, processing the draw packages, obtaining comments, and proper approvals. Create and manage Asset Management Share Point files for all draw related documentation and workflows Serve as a liaison with third-party servicers as necessary Assist the Servicing Manager with Special Servicing Reporting, Compliance and Audit Maintain accuracy of asset management database and portfolio metrics Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in loan servicing, preferably from a loan servicer or lender Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher Task-oriented person with motivation to maintain a high level of productivity Independent thinker, high level of initiative and strong work ethic. Ability to work well with little direction or as part of a collaborative team Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize Flexible with a positive attitude and willingness to work additional hours and weekends to complete projects when necessary Proficient Excel skills desirable Compensation: This position is exempt, regular full-time, with a salary range: $80 - $85K annually, depending on work experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus. Office Attendances: The position requires you to come into the office 4 days per week, physically: Mondays to Thursdays.
