Manage all CRC departmental and foundation accounts, including providing budgetary and administrative support. Coordinate existing and future CRC grants, including multi-million dollar federal cooperative agreements. Monitor and track expenditures.Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience:Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.Preferred Qualifications:5 or more years of experience in business management, public administration, human resources, or administrative services, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience. Experience with grant accounting and research administration, including budget development and management, procurement, travel, and human resources activities and systems. Knowledge and/or experience with USC financial systems such as PeopleSoft, Finance Intranet, and USCeRA preferred. Experience working with non-profits and government organizations is strongly preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat. Understanding of basic accounting and financial management principles. Organizational skills and time management skills needed to meet deadlines. Analytical skills needed to make accurate decisions and to identify areas in which spending can be reduced. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a diverse audience. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, administrators, staff, and sponsoring agency personnel.Job Duty:FINANCE/PURCHASING:Manage all CRC departmental accounts, including providing budgetary and administrative support.In coordination with the Deputy Director and Executive Director of the CRC, develop annual operating budget and monitor all funds to ensure resources are available to meet objectives.Create and maintain all accounting records, verification, and documentation of financial transactions.Process accounting-related actions to include, but not limited to: journal entries (JE), purchase orders (PO), and requests for payments (RFP) for all assigned accounts.Coordinate the department’s purchases and travel, providing assistance as needed and routinely audits transactions to ensure compliance with applicable USC, state, and federal regulations.Essential Function:YesPercentage of Time:40Job Duty:GRANTS:Manage pre- and post-administration of all existing and future CRC grants, including federal cooperative agreements with the National Park Service.Supports CRC grant budget preparation.Works with CRC employees to submit research grant proposals through USCERA, grants.gov, etc.Works with Deputy Director to provide written financial and status reports for members of CRC leadership and other university partners.Review and analyze payroll records to process Time and Effort Reports in HCM.Essential Function:YesPercentage of Time:30Job Duty:FOUNDATION ACCOUNTS:Monitor and track expenditures to ensure compliance with college and university policies and procedures.Perform monthly reconciliation of ED foundation accounts.Create reports for the CRC leadership team as needed.Essential Function:YesPercentage of Time:20Job Duty:MISC.
