JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Sports Medicine (Orthopedics) • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Canton & Woodstock, GA • Service Setting: Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 07/01 01/2025 (13 weeks) • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Thursday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM 1:00 PM PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Primarily orthopedic patients, postoperative and follow-up care • Patient Volume/Census: patients per day • Case Mix: Upper extremity orthopedic surgery follow-ups and outpatient evaluations FACILITY INFORMATION • Office Equipment Available: Standard outpatient orthopedic clinic • Specialty Backup Available: Orthopedic Surgeon • Support Staff Available: Clinic team • Reason for Coverage: Locum need for Sports Medicine midlevel support COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Postoperative orthopedic assessments • General sports medicine follow-up evaluations JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Georgia NP or PA license required • Experience: Orthopedic experience highly preferred; must be comfortable in a high-volume sports medicine clinic • Other Qualifications: Must be comfortable working independently with orthopedic surgical patients DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Evaluate and treat patients in a busy outpatient orthopedic setting • Manage postoperative and follow-up visits daily • Work directly with orthopedic upper extremity specialist • Document care and assessments per clinic protocol • Collaborate with clinic staff to deliver high-quality patient care
